Welcome to the fifth SING Aotearoa internship programme.  The Summer Internship for Indigenous Genomics is an initiative that emerged from the Te Waka o Tama-rereti project and is now funded by Genomics Aotearoa.

This event ran over 5 days – Monday, 25 Jan to Friday, 29 Jan 2021.

Day 1:  Pōwhiri and introductions Genetics and Genomics, Nohonga Kaitiaki, and CELSI: Cultural Foundation
Day 2:  Introductions to Breeding Technologies, Gene-editing and Primary Sector
Day 3:  Māori Health Advancement and Māori Governance in MENZACs
Day 4:  DNA Extraction Lab and COVID19 Genomics and Bioinformatics Lab
Day 5:   Whakarāpopotanga
